The fastest and easiest way to make
money online is through a good PPC
marketing campaign. You can gain
instant access to first page targeted t
raffic from day one. The problem is
that you have to pay for it. If you are
able to balance the cost of advertising
with the rate of commission for the
product you are pushing, you can turn
a decent profit. After that, it turns into how much you can put into advertising.
When I first started in the world of internet marketing I was heavy into PPC advertising. I was fairly successful (especially for the small amount of time and effort I put into it) and was able to pull down about $2,000 per month in profit. This was a simpler time, a time when no one thought twice about direct linking. People would see your ad and be taken straight to the site they were looking to get to. I was advertising Career Builder (which paid $.50 for each job search you generated) and University of Phoenix ($17 per request for free info). It was a dream.
A few years back, Google changed its
ways. They would only show one
advertisement per website. This meant
that sites like Monster or Career Builder
could only have one link leading to them.
I guess it’s better for the search engine
users, but not for me.
Well because of that, internet marketers
had to build push pages to entice their
visitors to go to their affiliate sites.
I think the best way to approach PPC advertising today would be to create a product (ebook or software) and market that on affiliate networks as well as paying for some traffic. If you are able to convert, you keep all of the profits. In addition to that, you will have others sell your product for you. It’s a good deal. Just make sure your product is worth buying.
The best ways to approach PPC advertising is still through Google, and now Facebook. If you are going to use Facebook, I would suggest creating a fan page and blog related to your product and promoting that. It’s much easier for people to just click “like” than it is to buy something. This is essentially building a social networking list that you can market to for all eternity. Unless you get too annoying and they remove your page from their favorites. I guess tact is key.
