There are a ton of different companies that you can get to register your domain and you will almost always get the same service and price. It really doesn't matter which one you choose. I have used GoDaddy and Homestead for their domain registration services and have had no problems. If you use homestead, your first domain will be free. Then after that it will cost $2 per month. Believe it or not, $2 per month is actually pretty high for domains. Therefore, after your first one, you should switch to another registrar. Most domain names will cost you $10 per year.
Domain Flipping
Did you know you could make some money flipping domains. You can buy up domains and list them on several auction sites to try and sell them. It is important to try and find available one word domain names. They will go for the most. You won't make thousands of dollars for a domain name like you could in the 90s, but you can still make some money.
